What's the difference from Signal or Telegram?
Signal and Telegram are "apps" providing communication services. Numotirus is a "protocol" and "library". You compile it yourself. You use it yourself.
How to add friends?
Exchange keys. You give me your key, I give you mine. No central server to search for anyone.
How do messages work without a server?
P2P direct connection. Your device talks directly to the other device. No server in between.
Can non-programmers use it?
Currently requires compilation. In the future, Lumora (AI VTuber) will provide a GUI installer.
How do you comply with social media age restrictions?
We do not operate a service. We only publish code. The law targets "platforms", not "programming tools".
Can I use it right now?
Yes. Compile the code and run it from the command line. Current version works on the same local network. After NAT traversal, you can communicate across different networks.
